Born in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, Lyra Anaise - meaning musical grace, has been immersed into the arts from a young age. Growing up around loved ones who were musicians and visual artists, they showed her a lot of the older styles that would preemptively make her an old soul; helping define her visual style.

Largely inspired by the French New Wave, Linda McCartney, and Maripol’s work, she took all of her influences and went on to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Visual Communication, furthering her experience in editorial filmmaking and photography.

Since then, Lyra has ventured into writing, producing content for social media, and venturing into photojournalism.
When capturing and creating, Lyra loves to ideate ideas based off of music, reflections of events, and people in her life that words can’t express.
